Sonic Ships New Vista-Enabled OEM Products
Expands Innovative Partner Revenue Share Program
25 January 2006 — Sonic Solutions® (NASDAQ: SNIC),
the leader in digital media software, today released a new line of Vista-compatible
photo and video products developed specifically for PC OEM’s for inclusion
in the first wave of Windows® Vista Capable and Premium Ready PCs. Expanding
the company’s Roxio-branded line are special versions of VideoWave® and
CineMagic®, which empower users to capture, enhance, edit and be creative
with personal photos and home movies. The new applications will begin
shipping on Windows Vista PCs launching later this month from a leading
original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
Also launching and included in the bundle is an enhanced version of
Roxio Central, a dynamic Web-connected application. Roxio Central provides
users with direct access to tasks and activities within the Roxio products
as well as to digital media related products and services hosted at Roxio.com.
Roxio Central is core to Sonic’s expanded partner revenue-share program,
enabling the company to deliver value-added products and services along
with contextual advertising and promotions direct to consumers’ desktops.
Targeted campaigns will include special offers on partner solutions as
well as Sonic’s full-featured retail applications.

of premier digital peripherals from leading manufacturers including LaCie,
Canon, Plextor, and Pioneer. The company also has long-standing relationships
with top-tier PC manufacturers including Dell, HP, Sony and Fujitsu.
