MediaTicker is more than just a photo browser or newsreader – it's the ultimate RSS media reader. Its unique scrolling format provides you with access to unlimited news headlines, photos, articles and forums while keeping itself neatly out of the way so you can actually get on with your day. RSS feeds with thumbnails and full-size images are displayed right in the ticker, so instead of clicking on a text link for "Giants Win Superbowl LX", you can click on a photo of the winning touchdown! RSS feeds that don't have thumbnails will be displayed as text links along with a snapshot of the website from where the feed originated.
Get even more digital media with MediaTicker 3, which adds support for video files, more RSS feed types, and new media search options. Now enjoy your video collection the same way you enjoy your photo collection in the ticker, and add ANY RSS or Atom feed for even more news and blogs.
Plus, you can now save your RSS feed list on your Roxio MyAccount so you can access your feeds from any MediaTicker or internet connected computer, or even from multiple computers simultaneously!
You can place MediaTicker at the top, bottom, left or right of your screen. The ticker can display local photos, videos, news, sports, comics, classifieds – virtually any RSS feed from the web.
To view a larger version of the picture, click on the thumbnail as it scrolls across the bottom of your screen.
To view a news story from the web, click on a headline in the ticker.

FAQs
I already use MediaTicker 2. What will happen to my feed list when I upgrade to version 3?
Your feed list will be uploaded to your Roxio MyAccount once you sign-on in MediaTicker, so you can access your feeds from any internet-connected machine, and use MediaTicker on multiple machines and keep all your feeds in sync!
What kinds of videos will appear in the ticker?
Anything that is playable in Windows Media Player should show up in the ticker. QuickTime mov files are also supported if QuickTime is installed. If you have Roxio Buzz installed, clicking on a file should launch Roxio Buzz.
What does the orange vs black RSS badge mean?
Orange means the item is tagged as less than 3 hours old in the RSS feed. Not all RSS feeds properly date their items, however, so even if it is black it may still be recent.
Where does it look for photos?
In the My Pictures folder by default. You can change this setting in the options page.
Does Roxio upload my photos or any information about them?
No. Your photos are only displayed locally on your computer.
Does it use up much memory or CPU?
It depends on how many photos and feeds you have. Typical use is between 20-80MB. MediaTicker demands very low CPU usage. Using Fade-in mode will increase the CPU usage.
How do I start or stop the scrolling?
Press the space bar when your cursor is over the MediaTicker display.
