Troubleshooting Issues
My VCD disc will not play in my DVD player. Troubleshooting Steps
- Check your DVD player documentation to make sure it can play the VCD format and that it supports the type of media you used: CD-R or CD-RW.
- Try playing the disc on a different model of DVD player (for example, that of a friend or family member).

Try playing the disc with the Roxio Player software. If it plays, then there may be an issue with your DVD player or the type of disc you used.
Some DVD players may be capable of reading CD-R or CD-RW, but have trouble with media from different manufacturers or brands.

Try burning the project on higher-quality CD-R media. Unfortunately, the most expensive blank discs are typically more compatible. Many brands
have different colors on the side of the disc that gets burned, so try a different color. There are blue, silver, green, and blue/green discs-the
color can affect the ability of your DVD player to read the disc.
- Is your disc a CD-RW? If so, try burning the project to CD-R if your DVD player supports CD-R media.
- Is your disc a CD-R? If so, try burning to a CD-RW if your DVD player supports this type of media

- Check your DVD player documentation to make sure it supports the type of disc you used. Not all players support all types of discs: DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+R, DVD+RW.
